dollar for dollar these are hard to beat. every body was right about the brackets ,they are a little weakly made. mine are mounted inside our camper in the upper corners of the bedroom and sound much better than the old ceiling speakers.will buy another pair for the living area to replace the other pair of ceiling speakers out there. are a nice size for space avaiable.
I don't know why these outdoor speakers were so cheap; they replaced much larger speakers that eventually gave it up to the weather conditions, but the sound is even better. They are powered with a standard 50-watt Sonos receiver/amplifier unit, and still sound teriffic. In fact, I like them so much that I'll probably take them down for the winter, to avoid having to replace them in a few years.
Good sound for a 6.1 setup, mounting is very easy. Good choice if you can get a good price.
These inexpensive weatherproof speakers sound far better than their price would lead you to suspect. I have them on our deck, about a 25 foot run from a 100Watt per channel receiver. Stereo separation is excellent and the speakers have a nice blended tone without sounding muddled. Forget more expensive speakers unless you intend to go into the $500 range.
There are few small stereo speakers on the market. I got these for use with a cheap stereo in cramped quarters, and they are perfect for my needs.
